School social workers consult with students, parents, school staff, and the community to provide support services which will contribute to the success of students in the education system.
These services may include:
- consultation with school staff and parents
- individual counseling and support to students
- family counseling and support to parents
- parent and school staff education
- home-school collaboration
- referral services to and collaboration with community agencies
